Married for two decades,

On the twentieth of December.

I made you promises years ago.

All of which I remember.

To love, to honour, to cherish and hold.

From now ’til the end of the time.

And in our hearts the promise that,

I am yours and you are mine.

We have a plan that always works,

As experience has shown.

Hold on tight to each other’s hand.

Squeeze hard and never let go.

Life can be a hell of a drag.

With all the things we must do.

And I can deal with all of it.

As long as it is with you.

Thinking back on all those things,

I remember now and then.

I can only do this with you at my side.

So, will you take my hand and marry me again?
