Kabbalah in 100 Words – “Echoes of a distant tide”

Echoes

Before Moses was born he existed elsewhere,

You could call it an earlier home.

I won’t detail the ins and outs,

Go back to stick and stone.

When he ‘shot forth’ and was cast out,

Pharaoh’s daughter offered a bed,

In this new home he memorised,

The things that nourished his head.

The skull that formed within the womb,

His shelter before his birth.

Held the mind that caused a lot

Of echoes upon the earth.

Moses has a Hebrew name

Similar but really is Moshe:

Its letters are Mem, Shin and Hei.

Meaning born of spirit and water.
