Heduana waited until the king had entered the inn and closed the door before addressing the ones who had stayed behind.
They surrounded her in a tight circle, all eyes able to keep watch in all directions.
“Usual place; usual time; usual tools.” Was all she needed to say.
With an imperceptible nod, they all departed.
There were witches in Sumeria.
