The raven landed on the sturdy green branch of the Giant Hogweed. The pollen from the spring flowers exploded into the air. Each particle catching the caress of the late evening sun.
A man was walking by. He rubbed his eyes furiously as the pollen made them itch – then burn.
He stumbled blindly, like a madman straight into the lake; never to be seen again.
The raven flew off; they never forget a face that’s harmed them.
