Need Before Greed

Tell me the point of money.
I’d really like to know.
It doesn’t make us better.
It doesn’t help us grow.

We worship the ground it can’t walk on.
We pray for it day and night.
Wishing for blessings and bounty.
It is never out of our sight.

I no longer idolize money.
A false god through and through.
I wish I’d found out sooner.
I hope that you will too.

Today is World Homeless Day.
One thing you must do above all.
Go and buy a Big Issue.
Though it shouldn’t be an issue at all.
