The late winter’s day was a glorious one; the cat happily absent, the house mice gathered together dressed in their finest clothing. The male mice attired in formal top hats and tails, occasionally complemented by a gleaming monocle and the females resplendent in light summer dresses, elaborate hats and other refined accoutrements.
The proud father led his daughter to the groom, chest puffed out with whiskers clean and white, happy sobbing broke out.
The groom in his finery, nose twitching with nerves and the thrill of a new life beginning; waited. It was a wonderful day for a mouse wedding.
