Remember the Sabbaths
Sabbaths are important as most of us well know;
Saturdays and Sundays are the days for us to show;
Our devotion to the LORD above, our Father and our King.
We bow our heads in prayer, we raise our hearts and sing.
But Friday night’s for witches, as is the New Moon;
You’d better get your boots on, you’re going to miss it soon;
It’s coming up to twelve o’clock, so you may arrive too late;
Buckle up and join us fast, before He shuts the gate.
But fear not precious Sister, this one comes each week;
We’re discovering the pattern, of the things you seek.
So two things to remember; different times, same name.
But unlike last week’s ride to Mars, this day will stay the same.
Remember the Sabbath
7 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
8 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work;
9 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto the LORD thy God, in it thou shalt not do any manner of work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;
10 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

I think there are going to be many disgruntled Christians around these days my friend.
At least you’re guiding yourself in the meantime and you’re not going to run out of material any time soon heh. I’ve been learning about a few different religions too, I’m enjoying discovering what we all agree on, rather that the other way round!

I do like your thinking process dear friend. I have stopped my search in religions and I am looking at Philosophy for answers. Philosophy is tough, a mental strain for me, yet there are occasions when I can celebrate. Anand

I’m glad you’re enjoying your new adventure into Philosophy, I love the word itself ‘loving-wisdom’, that sounds like the start of a good relationship to me!
If I could be so bold as to make a suggestion, with you mentioning you’re finding the reading a strain at times.
A dear friend of ours was in a similar situation as you and one of the Angry Farmers suggested that perhaps instead of going from one extreme to the other (so to speak). Perhaps the journey might be more pleasant going via the ‘middle road’ since you obviously know your Scripture and if I may assume used to take comfort in the words, why don’t you perhaps pick a Philosopher or two who were/are holy men also?
This at least gives you the advantage of having some shared knowledge (and perhaps way of thinking) with the Teacher.
It might be a smoother transition into your different way of thinking. If you’d like me to ask the Farmers for suggestions, I would be delighted to oblige. If I’m truthful, I have one or two favourites up my habit sleeve!
Enjoy your journey my dear, it can be quite a thrilling adventure if you allow it.

Hehe where to start! A good way I found for myself recently with the Philosophers was this…
I chose a few subjects I’m fond of (plants/herbs + religion + world mysteries) and ended up reading a little about Isaac Newton, then decided to go back to who he was inspired by, and kept going that way.
I ended up with a whole bunch of folks to read about (that enjoyed the things I enjoy which makes it far more fun to study!). You may end up with some real gems along the way. I’ll share my list with you sometime.
As for Religion, I’ll be heading back to the Beginning soon, I’ll let you know when.
